Say no to Selloff Steve, The nominee For the Bureau of Land Management.
They’re trying to sell off our public lands — again.
Who is Steve Pearce?
Steve Pearce is an oil and gas executive and politician from New Mexico who has worked for decades to sell off America’s public lands.
Now, Pearce has been nominated to run the Bureau of Land Management.
Pearce has proposed that Congress sell off America’s public land, saying “most of it we do not even need.”
Pearce wants to “reverse the trend of public ownership of land” and turn over public lands to private hands.
Pearce has sponsored legislation to allow public lands to be sold or transferred to private interests. He even opposed efforts to stop public land sales.
If confirmed by the Senate, Pearce will oversee 245 million acres of public lands, able to push his agenda to privatize America’s public lands.
It’s not too late to stop Selloff Steve.
Public lands are part of why we served.

Veterans know what it means to defend something larger than ourselves.
Our public lands belong to every American — an outdoor heritage that must continue to be passed down to future generations.
Veterans fought for this country. Now we need the Senate to fight for us — and for the public lands we rely on.
They keep trying to sell our public lands.
Last year, Senator Mike Lee of Utah tried to sell off millions of acres of our public land. Americans stood up, a bipartisan group of Senators listened, and the plan was stopped.
But now it is back in a different form.
Now is the time for these Senators to stay true to their words.
Tell your Senator: Vote no on Selloff Steve.
We stopped the sell-off once, and now we need to stop it again.
Once you’ve signed, we’ll make the next step easy. We’ll guide you through a simple process to call your Senator by phone. We’ll be with you every step of the way, providing their phone numbers and a suggested script, so you can easily tell them to VOTE NO on Selloff Steve.

What they are saying about Steve Pearce.
“Pearce’s own constituents in New Mexico rejected his land-sale agenda when they voted him down in his gubernatorial race.”
— FLATHEAD BEACON, November 23rd, 2025
“In Steve Pearce, President Trump has turned to the worst kind of insider. The Bureau of Land Management, and the millions of Americans who depend on it, deserve better.”
— WASHINGTON POST, November 18th, 2025
“Confirming Steve Pearce would be the equivalent of hiring one of the ‘smash and grab’ jewelry thieves to manage the national treasure of our living public lands.”
